Welcome back for Term 3

Hi Parents and Caregivers,

Welcome back to Term 3.  We have a busy term planned for your children.  Our main topic of inquiry for this term is Farming and we will be going to visit Ambury Farm.  A letter about the trip will come home in Week 2.

We also have a few extra children who are waiting in Room 4 until Room 7 opens in Week 5 for the new entrants /Year 0s.

Here are some photos of us planting bean seeds, fingers crossed we get enough sunshine to grow!

If you get a chance, please sign up for free to the Seesaw app to see some of your child's work.  If you need another notice, please pop in and see me.

Cheers
Miss Angela Stonestreet

Busy, busy, busy

Hi Parents and Caregivers,

We have been super busy in Room 4 that I haven't had a chance to update our blog page!

Today we were lucky enough to have 12 parents/caregivers come to school and help us make our rainbows and do some fun Go Noodle dances.  Our letter of the week is R r.

Constable Jasmine visit and PJ Day

Hi all,

We have had another busy week in Room 4.  We are learning about "People who help us" and Constable Jasmine came to school to talk to us about what she does and the equipment she uses.  Then she handed out our "Caught Being Good" Duffy books.  Well done Keisha and Acasia!

On Friday we had PJ Day to help the animals at the SPCA.  Don't we look cute!  We made popcorn and watched a movie in the middle block.

Next week, Nurse Shannon is coming to talk to us on Thursday afternoon too.

Thanks
Miss Stonestreet

Gosh what a busy day!

Hi everyone,

Today was a super busy day for Room 4.

First, we had our Fun Run around our school field.  Thank you to all the family members who came out to watch and then ended up running around the field too!!

We were tired but we kept on trying and did our best.  Congratulations to Ekam who did the most laps in Year 1.

Then as we have been learning about letter I i this week, we made icecream in a bag today and learnt about liquids and solids.

Finally, we had a te reo lesson with Ms Purvis and we got to use the poi to dance and we got our headbands (te pari)
